The Junior Strategy site runs on generosity. We are looking for contributors who are willing to volunteer their time to helping us make the site and our community better.
We are currently starting hubs in Sydney, London, NYC, San Francisco, and LA. Contributors in these hubs help out with Insiders interviews and more. For information about joining a hub or starting a new hub, please email us with the subject line “Insiders Contribution.”
In Amsterdam we’re looking for help editing the blog. You must be willing to contribute 8-10 hours a week and meet with our team regularly. You’ll need excellent English skills and a passion for grammar and punctuation. Ideally you will have experience in publishing or running a blog. Not only will you be an organizational wizard, but you’ll have a knack for creating interesting images in photoshop on the fly. It is possible to fulfill this role from outside of Amsterdam, but ideally we’re looking for someone local. Please email with the subject line “Blog Editor.”
If you’re interested in contributing posts to the blog, we are looking for several different kinds of authors. Below is a brief explanation of our categories and the types of authors we need. If this is you, please email with the subject line “Blog contribution” and list what you’re interested in writing about or ask us for a brief.
1. Career tips:
We are looking for industry leaders and seasoned professionals to share their best advice, stories and quick tips for getting the job, exiting with grace, and general career woes and celebrations.
We believe that crafting your skills as a strategist doesn’t happen overnight, but there is no reason you shouldn’t look good in front of your boss from time to time. Sometimes all you need is a good example to get you going. Our aim is to fill your strategic toolbox with how-to approaches that will help you to learn from the best and inspire your ideas.
We are looking for mid-very senior level strategists to contribute tangible examples that will help guide juniors. These posts can be repurposed from lessons, conferences, slideshares, your own blog posts or past work examples (it is okay to strip examples of branding if necessary). Generally think of any deliverable or approach where you’ve found an example helpful.
We know that looking for insights within the same four walls of your agency or firm day after day starts to feel a bit like banging your head against a wall. Wildcard aims to inspire creativity and fresh thinking by celebrating real life experience that is happening all around us.
Anyone is welcome to write these posts. To keep these posts fresh we ask for authors to add value by sharing their own opinions. Please don’t send us a topic before you’ve googled it. To avoid typical planner mumbo-jumbo, we have several briefs and prompts to get you going!
To find out more, please get in touch via our email firstname.lastname@example.org. Please specify your interest in the subject line.
